Also definitely very tasty, don’t get me wrong — but again the experience is mostly just drinking a lower-sugar adult soda rather than a drink-time substitute. Jalapeño and blood orange is a smart pairing, and the heat gives it more staying power than most sodas manage. It just never quite crosses the line into feeling like a drink you’d have instead of a cocktail.
Update, September 2026: Avec has merged into Proxies, which says the line will live on under its name. Nothing from the Avec range has reached the Proxies shelf yet, though, so there is no working place to buy this one in the meantime — and the old avecdrinks.com address now points somewhere that has nothing to do with drinks, so don’t follow it.
